The Hitman puts 'log-in' problems behind him to climb the UoB Leaderboard

Will 'The Hitman' Burley: 3
Luke 'Bantaray' Manterfield: 1

After a long rest over the Easter period there was definitely a bit of dust on the Hitman's finishing as he let slip a 200+ lead against Luke 'Bantaray' Manterfield.

The second leg was a reverse of the first with Luke left eyeing up double 16 and Will way behind on 99. In attempt to put some pressure on Luke, Will scored 97, unfortunately leaving him with the awkward task of confronting double 1. However, with Luke missing shots at various doubles it was The Hitman who made his opponent pay to draw level.

With the momentum behind him, Will pulled away early on in third leg and despite Luke battling hard he was unable to stop the Hitman taking the leg - again on double 1.The Bantaray was clearly desperate for his first point in the league and came out swinging with some good totals early on in the final leg. Will remained in touching distance but Luke did manage to get to the double first...

However, with all the great promise shown at the start of the leg, both players made a real hash of finishing the job off. Some time later both players finally ended up in the mad house and with the Hitman's practice in the previous legs, it was he that ended what was a very long and tense exchange, getting his first win in the process.

Scoring:
Will 'The Hitman' Burley - 2 x 100

Early in the day, Will had threw away a 2-0 lead against Andrew 'The Black Adder' Pranger, who came back strongly to draw 2-2. In a moment of reflection with friends at the end of the day, the ever eloquent Hitman gave a clichéd overview of his achievements; "I would have taken three points from these two games at the start of the day".

Will 'The Hitman' Burley: 2
Andrew 'The Black Adder' Pranger: 2

Scoring:
Andrew 'The Black Adder' Pranger - 3 x 100
