Simon Whitlock's Darts Exclusive to Red Dragon Darts
Simon Whitlock - the darting wizard who blew the roof off the Alexandra Palace in 2010 with his blockbusting high checkout finishes and devastating power scoring is a man on a mission.
After mostly plying his trade in his native Australia, Simon is now fully committed to playing the full PDC tour. Great news for dart fans - who will now get to see more of this highly talented and explosive player, but not so good news for opposition players - who will no doubt soon be wishing that this brilliant darting wizard would walk up the yellow brick all the way back to the land of Oz.
As he rockets up the PDC rankings Simon will be using his very own signature Red Dragon darts - ones which he designed himself and that are available to buy for the first time. These are replicas of the exact darts that Simon used during his brilliant PDC 2010 World Championship campaign.
Who better to describe his weapons of choice then the man himself...
I had been experimenting with a few different sets of darts for a while and couldn't get the ones that I wanted or that felt right. It was at this time that I spoke with Red Dragon darts and after telling them what I was looking for they came back with the darts that I used at the Alexandra Palace. I only received the darts a couple of days before the tournament started but they immediately felt perfect. The darts not only felt right but look great as well. I felt so confident with them in my hand and I think the results I subsequently got during the tournament speak for themselves. Here's hoping that these darts inspire both myself and any wizard fans who buy them to the heights I managed in the 2010 World Championship and I look forward to achieving more big finishes and power scoring as I make my way in the PDC.
